There is no point looking at your list the next day after the auction and having the because you really wanted that piece and I really should have paid a dollar more. Therefore in the cold light of day when I place my snipes, for an item (say) that I would only pay $10 for, I would set my snipe at $10.51 so that if the previous bidder was at $9.75, I would still get the item. I have been beaten by lower bids as my snipe may be a few pence/cents/pesatas lower than the next increment. You can only get out snipped if your bid isn't high enough. Interestingly if you leave the same bidding time for both servers, both bids are registered! ie when reviewing the bid history, I appear as the last and penultimate bidder both at the same price! I actually think I have purchased more material since using but at much better prices! I would say that 20% of my snipes are won by the mirror server. I have paid the $6 for the mirror server which IMHO has been $6 very well spent. I have used ever since I read an earlier thread where Lakatoi 4 extolled its virtues.
